18 May New Hampshire Housing Authority Welcomes Anne McCulloch as Keynote Speaker at Annual Conference
McCulloch addressed prominent industry thought leaders, local officials, investors and lenders on the role of impact investing in preserving affordable housing. McCulloch noted that impact investors recognize that stable, affordable housing is foundational to a range of good social outcomes from health to educational attainment to job success. As a result, housing is getting the biggest share of impact investing funds from larger investors according to research by the Global Impact Investment Network, but there is still a critical need for well-priced equity. She acknowledged that the HPET platform has been able to compete successfully for acquisitions in this hot market because of the strength of their local non-profit partners. She led a panel discussion on Impact Investing and Housing Finance with Bill Floyd of Genesis Community Loan Fund, Kevin Peterson of New Hamphire Community Development Finance Authority, and Michael Swack of the Center for Impact Finance, Carsey School of Public Policy.
